Researches

Conferences

Annually, ISF Academy students present research at several different international science conferences. The Shuyuan commitment to student led research allows students to ask science and engineering questions and then showcase their research at poster sessions.

  • American Geophysical Union (AGU) is the largest space and Earth science organization in the world. A Fall Meeting is held annually, and ISF students have presented at this conference since 2013. In the previous years, over 200 ISF students have presented research originating from student interest in the natural world.

  • American Society of Microbiology (ASM) is an annual conference dedicated leading edge research in microbiology. A small number of students studying molecular biology attend this conference each year. ISF students have presented many papers over the years on the functional characteristics of bacteria and anti-microbial resistance (AMR).

  • Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is a young engineers conference in Hong Kong. Annually, the local IEEE section has a Young Engineers conference for high school students. The focus of these papers are engineering related. ISF students have participated in this conference for more than five years.

  • Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) is a Singaporean based organization that has an annual science conference in the region. ISF students have participated in this for the last three years. The focus on space and Earth science in the region allows our students to connect with scientists locally and contribute to the increasingly well documented story research throughout China and other countries nearby.
